EIM Sparks a Revolution at India’s Largest Container Port

Energy In Motion Limited (EIM), an associate of Ravindra Energy Limited, has begun commercial operations at India’s largest battery swapping and charging station for heavy vehicles. The facility is located at the Nhava Sheva Freeport Container Terminal within the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority.

Built to support the rising demand for zero-emission logistics, the station has an installed power capacity of 3 MW and can service more than 160 heavy electric vehicles ежедневно, helping reduce turnaround time and improve operational efficiency. Over 130 EIM-Foton electric vehicles currently operating at the port have already started using the facility.

According to EIM, the launch represents a significant milestone in advancing India’s clean logistics ecosystem and highlights its focus on innovation-driven EV infrastructure.

Commenting on the development, Managing Director Narendra Murkumbi said the company is proud to collaborate with Nhava Sheva Freeport Container Terminal in building a sustainable EV ecosystem. NSFT, a joint venture between CMA Terminal Holdings and J M Baxi Group, is actively working toward electrifying its entire vehicle fleet by the end of FY 2026–27.
